The Sabbioneta Heritage Foundation brings the exhibition 'Belle Haleine' by G. Baselitz to the Galleria degli Antichi in Palazzo Giardino

Press conference at the Milan Triennale

Today, at the Triennale Milano, the launch press conference of the extraordinary exhibition "Belle Haleine" by the famous German artist Georg Baselitz, a well-known pioneer of neo-expressionist art, was held. This international exhibition marks a significant step for the Sabbioneta Heritage Foundation, entering the heart of its management and valorization activities of the artistic and monumental heritage of the Ideal City.

The exhibition will present a selection of the most emblematic works of Baselitz's artistic career. Inside the evocative Galleria degli Antichi of Palazzo Giardino, imposing sculptures and large paintings on canvas will come to life under the high ceilings and along the majestic arches. Furthermore, it will be the first time that ten provocative etchings by Georg Baselitz will be exhibited together, offering the public a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in his vigorous and merciless linework, as well as his usual depiction of upside-down figures, which has made Baselitz a true singer of the anguish of the 20th century.

The official inauguration of the exhibition is set for April 27th in Sabbioneta.
