The Migration of Living Matter
The event takes its name from the title of the piece for double bass solo, written by the composer Enrico Scaccaglia. After the world premiere in London, The Migration of Living Matter will find its first Italian performance in the prestigious and historic setting of the Teatro all’Antica in Sabbioneta (MN). Will Duerden, rising star of the double bass, will put in dialogue the music of the past with that of the present in a program where, together with the piece by Scaccaglia, pieces taken from the twentieth-century double bass repertoire of authors such as Tabakov and Rabbath will be interpreted, and the sarabande from the Suite n. 2 in D minor by J. S. Bach.
