Starting from Mantua, three itineraries in an area rich in art, culture, nature and food and wine to be discovered slowly, on foot or by bicycle, also thanks to a fleet of pedal-assisted trekking bikes available to travelers and the associations that operate on the territory.
NOBLE SIGNS, Popular paths and palaces of power in the lands of the Gonzaga is a project for the enhancement of paths and cycle paths that identify Mantua as a hub and crossing point for the discovery of the territory. The articulation of the routes is based on the tourist potential of the resources that can be activated, the cultural, natural and food and wine heritage. Starting from Mantua, the paths wind along three routes: to the north, towards Castiglione delle Stiviere, the route follows the Via Carolingia, the path that Charlemagne traveled in the year 800 from Aachen to Rome. From Mantua, following the cycle paths, it is possible to reach Sabbioneta to the east and San Benedetto Po to the west, to discover the territory and the Gonzaga capitals of Oglio Po and Oltre Po Mantovano. NOBLE SIGNS, Popular paths and power palaces in the Gonzaga lands is financed by the Lombardy Region under the Travel in Lombardy III edition tender, which involves the Municipalities of Mantua, as leader, Sabbioneta, San Benedetto Po and Castiglione delle Stiviere.
