Juergen Teller’s exhibition “7½” in Sabbioneta extended until December 8, 2025

Over 35,000 visitors for “7½”, exhibition will stay open longer

27 October 2025

More than 35,000 visitors for the German artist’s exhibition at Palazzo Giardino. The show has become an international success and will remain open longer than originally planned.

Visitors will have time until December 8, 2025 to explore “7 ½”, the photographic exhibition by Juergen Teller currently on view at Palazzo Giardino in Sabbioneta.

Originally scheduled to close on November 23, the exhibition has been extended thanks to its outstanding public response and wide international acclaim. The decision was made by Fondazione Sabbioneta Heritage, in agreement with the artist and his team.

“The extraordinary success of the exhibition dedicated to Juergen Teller, which has already reached over 35,000 visitors, goes well beyond our most optimistic expectations,” says Ezio Zani, Artistic Director of Fondazione Sabbioneta Heritage. “This confirms Sabbioneta’s ability to attract visitors from across Italy and abroad, strengthening its role as a vibrant and recognized cultural center. The extension allows even more people to experience Teller’s world — one of the most influential artists on the international scene.”

Curated by Mario Codognato, “7 ½” is Juergen Teller’s most personal project to date. The exhibition traces the most recent years of his artistic journey, marked by creative renewal and his close collaboration with his wife Dovile Drizyte. The title refers to the seven and a half years that encompass their artistic and personal partnership — a timeline that transforms into an intimate, visionary narrative.

Teller’s photographs combine instinct, irony, and emotional engagement, inviting visitors into what feels like a personal album generously shared by the artist himself.

The exhibition is supported by Regione Lombardia and sponsored by the Municipality of Sabbioneta. Main sponsors are Gruppo Tea and Panguaneta Spa, with contributions from Fondazione Banca Agricola Mantovana, Fondazione della Comunità Mantovana, BCC Rivarolo Mantovano, Gruppo Saviola, Bottoli, L.B.M. 1911, Econord, Ortofrutticola, Sta, Sarzi Lamiere, and De Simoni.
