FROM 27 APRIL THE EXHIBITION 'BELLE HALEINE' BY GEORG BASELITZ
From 27 April to 24 November 2024 the evocative Renaissance structure of the Galleria degli Antichi in Sabbioneta (Mantua) will host the exhibition Belle Haleine by the famous German artist Georg Baselitz, a leading figure in the world of contemporary art. With this exhibition of an international character, the Sabbioneta Heritage Foundation enters into the heart of its activities to manage and enhance the artistic and monumental heritage of the UNESCO site of Sabbioneta, the Ideal City founded by Vespasiano Gonzaga Colonna.
Under the frescoed ceilings and along the twenty-six arches of the Galleria degli Antichi will be exhibited impressive sculptures, large paintings on canvas and, for the first time all together, ten provocative engravings by the artist, whose distinctive feature is to reproduce figures upside down.
Information
- The exhibition can be visited from 27 April to 24 November 2024 at the Galleria degli Antichi in Sabbioneta (MN). It is open to the public from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.. Last admission is one hour before closing time.
- Booking through the Visit Sabbioneta app is advisable. It is possible to organise evening visits to the exhibition for groups and companies and to organise private events with catering in the rooms and park of Palazzo Giardino
TICKETS
- Full 10 euro.
- Reduced 7 euro (Touring members, overnight stay in hotels in Sabbioneta, agreement with San Benedetto Po, registered journalists, teachers of all levels, groups of at least 20 people, Supercard Cultura).
- The price for the family ticket is 23 euro and must include five people, of whom a maximum of three at full price.
- Admission is free for ICOMO-ICOMOS members and associates, children up to 12 years of age if accompanied by a family member, disabled people and a family member or other accompanying person who can prove that they are members of social and health care services, group leaders, teachers accompanying school groups, Sabbioneta Heritage Foundation supporters, citizens of Sabbioneta.
- For Mantova-Sabbioneta Card holders the price is 4.50 euro.
- The single ticket for all museums, monuments and the exhibition costs 18 euro.
- Admission for schools. For schools the ticket is 3 euro and involves students of schools of all levels (maximum number of 25 people per group). For students, aged 13 and over, the ticket price is €3.
