European Heritage Day
Also in Sabbioneta, on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 September, the GEP - European Heritage Days, the largest and most popular cultural event in Europe, are back. This year's theme, which incorporates the European slogan "Sustainable Heritage" chosen by the Council of Europe, will be "Sustainable cultural heritage: a legacy for the future". In the ideal city of Vespasiano Gonzaga Pro Loco, Polo Museale Vespasiano Gonzaga and the Municipality on Saturday 24 will propose the event entitled "The magnificence and the power": the meeting will be at the Infopoint and after a pleasant aperitif next to the Teatro all'Antica this will be followed by an extraordinary guided tour by Lara Casali - professional tour guide - to the Church of the Assumption, to Palazzo Ducale and to the Renaissance Sabbionetano exhibition, where the creator and curator of the exhibition Fausto Fornasari will also participate. A path designed to deepen the theme of devotion and faith in the Gonzaga house, but also the theme of splendor in the Renaissance, declined in art as in precious clothing, also true masterpieces that had little to envy to the others forms of artistic expression. On Sunday 25 at 3 pm, at the Teatro all 'Antica, a conversation will be held with Mons. Franco Follo - Permanent Observer of the Holy See to Unesco and ICOMOS delegate - who together with Don Samuele Riva and a representative of the Administration Municipal will deepen the theme of the days, or sustainability in the management of cultural heritage.
